Fix this app

This app used to work great on iPad, but doesnt work at all now. I have the same issues as the other users. Fix this app, we dont think thats asking too much!!

Horrible

Music interrupts my music or audiobook. Pictures dont load. Doesnt update in a timely manner. Nothing like discreetly reading at work like having blaring advertisement sound start playing.

Expensive

The magazine is grossly expensive. Years ago I had a subscription, I was going to renew it when the Jonbenet story breaking and opened the app. $6 per issue?! Wow, no thanks. Needless to say, I did not subscribe.

Once

I have only looked at the first sample issue and it looks good so far, but after reading some of the comments I probably need to look a little more. But again, at first glance it looks good

HORRIBLE App!

UPDATED REVIEW AFTER NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS: Installation of the People app on my 2 iPads STILL says I have no account. For this incident (there have been many), its been 3 months and 2 complete resets of my account by "customer service". The Kindle Fire only partially works. After YEARS and thousands of complaints from thousands of people they either do not know how to fix the app, or they wont hire programmers or a subcontractor who can do the job, or they just dont care. My opinion is that its all 3! OLD REVIEW THAT STILL APPLIES: Take a look at all the 1 star ratings. That says I am not alone. I have used this app daily on both a Kindle Fire and an iPad since People first started offering digital subscriptions. I have been through dozens of "upgrades." The app has literally gotten worse. Years ago, the downloaded magazines would stay on my app until I deleted them. Now, I can never have more than one magazine at a time even though the app will still show it as being there. The worst part are the regular crashes. Thats when the lousy service starts. The initial contact people are great, but they do not have the expertise to actually fix anything. All they can do is reset your account. It was ME who noticed that my email address needed to be in caps to verify the online account. AVOID THIS APP IF YOU CAN!

Consistently Horrible App

I have been a People Magazine subscriber for many years. While I enjoy their printed publication, their app is one of the worst Ive seen. I have contacted their support team numerous times for the same issue: when I log into my account, I am still prompted to pay for each issue (again!) before I can view it in their app. This issue has persisted for years, across numerous upgrades of the app. In short, the app almost never works as it is supposed to, making it completely unusable and worthless. This app has one purpose and consistently fails to perform that one purpose.

They took it away!! Hell no!! Bye bye!!!

I had all access of People magazine now they want more money for the digital version??? Bye bye People! You lost a loyal subscriber

Failing

Hey guys, This isnt working in iOS 10, on iPad Air 2. Other newsstand apps are fine.

Doesnt let me get a new password

Says I have an account but I apparently dont remember my password. I put in my email address that I have used for YEARS and app tells me not a valid email. I have a subscription but cannot access online. This stinks.

Horrible App

Worst App ever!! This app consistently gives me issues!! Even though I have an active subscription, the app wants to charge me for issues. Sometimes I can resolve quickly and other times not. When I am able to get the app working it will only let me dl the current issue and will not restore my previous ones. This go around I have not been able to access an issue in 2 months. The customer service wait is forever so I hang up before speaking to someone. I travel a lot and prefer to download issues and its more environmentally friendly. Wish there could be an app only subscription. In addition why does it cost so much to dl an issue? I have been a loyal subscriber for a decade and cant understand why they cant improve this app

Dissatisfied

Why was the app retired? Im a long time magazine subscriber and frequently checked out the articles on the app. I cant always and sometimes dont always want to watch videos and Im extremely disappointed with the new People/EW app!

AWFUL!!

This app is horrible. Magazine subscribers are supposed to have access to the digital version. When you try to log in it tells you that they cant process the request. Not what it used to be, making it very hard to want to stay a subscriber!

People changed

Not sure what happened but app never works anymore. It never says download just purchase or subscribe. So disappointing as I used to love it

Not worth the effort. Even setting up an account is painful.

Can not download when I have a active subscription

Can not download when I have a subscription and it says my digital is activated. I have tried so many times, Im done......

Digital no longer included with print subscription

Be aware that PEOPLE no longer includes complimentary digital access with their print subscriptions. Even though you get the print edition and it shows you have an active digital subscription, you will only be able to use this app and get the digital magazine if you pay extra for it.

Digital account active but cannot access issues

I agree with all of the digital subscribers who say that almost every other month I cant download my issues. I have contacted customer service three times this month, opened and closed the app, signed in and out, even removed the app and reinstalled it....and nothing changes. Customer service says they will respond in two days but I am three weeks behind and no response except for a confirmation email that they received my request. Seems like each update removes my ability to download new issues.

Bait and switch if youre a print subscriber

With no prior notice, People has decided to discontinue access to the tablet version of People for those who subscribe to the print edition. Wish I had known earlier before renewing my subscription. Talk about a bait and switch!

Buggy!

Buggy! Issues wont download. App takes you through the same process to restore downloads but it doesnt work. Its a revolving door youre stuck in.
